This is one of the strongest international family products because it combines a substantial northern Tanzania safari with several days of genuine beach time. The safari comes first, when the family is fresh and excited about wildlife; Zanzibar then becomes the recovery and relaxation chapter. The island section should not be filled with compulsory excursions. Families can decide whether to spend the full days on the beach or add one carefully chosen activity such as Stone Town, a spice visit or a marine excursion, subject to weather and age requirements.
Why this works for families: Three Serengeti nights before the beach. Domestic flight removes a long onward road journey. Zanzibar gives parents and children downtime after safari. Optional island activities rather than a rigid schedule.
